What weather to expect in Italy

The climate of Italy is very varied, but it is mostly Mediterranean. In the far north the climate is alpine, in south you can expect hot and dry weather. You can expect clearly noticeable difference in temperature between the north and south, in winter the difference can be even 20 grades Celsius (36 grades Fahrenheit).
