The climate of Portugal is maritime temperate, you can expect warm weather here, at least during late spring, summer and early autumn. Weather is usually colder and more rainy in northern mountains, and warmer and drier in south. You can also expect snow during winter in the northern mountains.

When you read about the number of mm of rainfall, you should know this: Light rain is when the precipitation rate is less than 2.5 mm (0.1 in) per hour.
